A pleasant country inn under the imposing Bishop Hill, on the A911 between Kinross and Glenrothes, now run by landlady Lynne. The village and pub take their name from the impressive canopied village well. Close to Loch Leven heritage trail, Portmoak Moss and Kilmagadwood, so popular with cyclists and walkers.

Bed & breakfast accommodation is provided in chalets adjacent to the inn. The bar features cask ale normally from Stewart Brewing; 2 handpulls with one pouring, and another ale always tapped to follow; impressive fire in the winter - now runs on environmental biofuel gas.

Summer 2026 weekday opening 4:30pm; bar may close in the mid-afternoon at weekends. Separate games room with darts & pool, and snug bar recently reopened - used for folk music sessions.
