This twenty-five room hotel was bought by Wetherspoon and re-opened in early 2014 after a major refit. There are two large lounge areas, one being more relaxed with comfy chairs the other more functional. A large number of handpulls offer a wide selection of at least 6 cask ales to a mixed age clientele. Televisions are normally quiet with subtitles activated. There is also an outdoor patio area with a good number of tables and a smoking area. Open all day, with breakfast from 7am, but but does not serve alcoholic drinks until 11am.
